Max EisenMax Eisen is a Holocaust survivor who was born in 1921 in Czechoslovakia before being taken away by Nazis occupiers to a concentration camp in 1939. Max told us about his story and survival in the Nazi death camps, before eventually being liberated by American troop in May 6, 1945. After he spoke to the Global Perspectives students, Max had lunch with some of the students from our class.

Grandmothers to GrandothersGrandmothers to Grandothers is a campaign with the Steven Lewis foundation that raises funds for grassroots organizations that provide money for grandmothers in different African countries. The money goes to help grandmothers raising children left in their care, and provides supports that include food, school uniforms, fees, educational supplies, medical care, HIV councelling and testing, and much more.

Gwynne DyerGwynne Dyer is a London-based independant Canadian journalist who came to speak about conflict, peace and how a Third World War is unlikely to ever break out. His talk was very informative and insightful to the ears of his audience which included the Global class.

David MorrisonMr. David Morrison is the founder of the Global Perspectives Program and came to talk about the importance of education. He discussed different important aspects of the education system and other topics he felt would help benefit the Global Class.
