Why did you choose to do Global?
I chose to do global because I wanted to leave my comfort zone. I am normally very scientific so I saw this program as an opportunity to become more creative and explore the left side of my brain. Also, I loved all of the great friends that I made and awesome opportunities I was able to be a part of (like Cuba which was AWESOME and also Germany).
How has Global changed you?
Global has changed me to become a more creative person. Also, I have really learned to manage my time better. There is a lot of work and you must learn to manage time properly. Also, I have made many new friends.
What is your favorite Global memory?
My favorite global memory would be the last night of Cuba when we danced for hours with the Cubans knowing that we would never do it again. Afterwards we got together and had an awesome time.
What is your favourite Global quote?
“Man, Canada has to step up their dancing game, because omg Cubans can move like there’s no tomorrow”
What would you tell future Global students?
I would tell them: it’s really not as hard as it sounds. Check the ceiling, don’t be afraid to try new things, go hard in C2N, bring a lot of food to Cuba, bring a lot of light clothes, have a whole lot of fun. Get together as much as possible, and ISU's might be hard (but do them early rather than late).
