Name
Noah Toor, aka Chief Home School: Barrie Central Why did you choose to do Global? I chose to do Global because I had watched my sister’s journey through Global and was intrigued and amazed by the caliber of work and interesting assignments. Also, Global provides you with a refreshing change from normal high school that I needed. How has Global changed you? Before Global, Math and Science were my only focuses in school. I had never really been interested in English and arts courses. Global has taken my brain, taken all its perspectives, thoughts, opinions, and completely changed the way my brain thinks and analyzes. Global has opened doors for me that would have never been an option if I didn’t get involved with this journey. Also, by creating, and presenting the caliber of assignments that we do, my confidence has been sky rocketed to heights that I would have never believed to be possible. What is your favourite Global memory? My favorite global memory would be from our Cuba excursion. My room became one of the frequent hang out spots for the Canadians, probably because of our unreal balcony. The amount of good laughs and bonding moments that happened on that balcony are unforgettable. What is your favourite Global quote? So many great quotes have been said during this journey, but I’ll have to decide on Mr. Toole’s constant saying of “Sweet City.” After everything that ends in a positive way or an understanding, Mr. Toole always said “Sweet City.” I do not know why I enjoyed this phrase so much, but it is a fond memory in my brain. What would you tell future Global students? To all future Global family members, DO NOT PROCRASTINATE! Procrastination is so easy to do, but you have to remember that you will always have an assignment so waiting until a couple days before the deadline is no good. Also, be creative and jump into everything with two feet. By this I mean that if you commit yourself to creative, out of the box ideas, good things will happen. |
